My name is Julie Silva, and I am excited to be part of the EBS community! I have been working in the field of child development since 2003 and have been teaching Transitional Kindergarten since 2010. I hold an Early Childhood Education degree, an ECE Master Teacher Certificate, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and a Master of Education from Point Loma Nazarene University. I am also a Child Development Professor at Theoria Technical College.
As a fourth-generation San Diegan, I love helping young learners grow through hands-on exploration, play, and meaningful learning experiences. When I am not teaching, you can usually find me fishing, canning tuna, hiking, surfing, camping, or spending time with my family enjoying everything San Diego has to offer.
I joined San Diego Unified in 2025 and am thrilled to be part of the EBS team. I look forward to partnering with families and helping our students learn, grow, and have a wonderful year together!
