Welcome to Room 206!
My name is Elizabeth Luciano and I am a UTK teacher at EB Scripps! I began teaching in early education in 2011. It meant the world to me when I received such a warm welcome from the entire school community. During this year, I will strive to do the same for your young learners. We will be learning in an environment that welcomes all students and sets them up for academic success for the rest of their educational careers.
I am originally from Tennessee and received my bachelor's degree in early childhood education from The University of Memphis. Throughout my teaching career I have taught Kindergarten, Pre-K, and 2nd grade classrooms. Although I have worked with learners from a range of developmental ages, the TK age group is my absolute favorite. TK is where students learn their most important foundational skills and where students first start developing a love of learning.
I moved to San Diego a year ago to be with my husband, and since then have fallen in love with the city (especially living so close to the beach)! When we’re not stand up paddle boarding or kayaking, we are trying new restaurants in Little Italy and exploring California's National Parks!
If you have any questions about our classroom, please feel free to reach out to me! I make it my mission to stay in good contact with parents as they navigate this first year of their child's education.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Luciano
