Dear EBS Families,
I am so excited to join the team as the new Education Specialist this year! It is going to be an incredible year and I am thrilled to meet everyone in the EBS community!
I moved to San Diego in 2022, but I am originally from Huntington Beach so I am ecstatic to be returning to Southern California. I spent five years at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where I received my Masters in Special Education, Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Child Development, and Credential in Special Education, Mild/Moderate Disabilities. What drew me to Special Education was my volunteer experience in a Special Day Classroom in 2019. In this role, I got to work with the most amazing students who showed me that this was the career path for me.
While pursuing my Masters degree, I student taught in a Resource classroom for grades 3rd-6th. I also taught ESY in San Luis Obispo for Kinder/1st grade students with Moderate to Severe disabilities. Since then I have been traveling and moving into my home in San Diego! In my spare time I enjoy rock climbing, watching baseball (Go Angels!), and reading fiction books! I am very excited to be a part of EB Scripps this year and can't wait to meet everyone.
